Welcome to Coto!

Hi, I'm Gianna, an SLP and the founder of Confident Toddlers Speech & Language (aka, Coto Speech & Language).

If you're here, you may be wondering whether your toddler is communicating the way you expected. Maybe you're hearing advice from every direction and you’re feeling unsure about what to do next. Maybe you’re curious and want more reliable information about communication milestones and expectations.

The good news is, you know your child better than anyone else. You call the shots when it comes to seeking answers to your questions. At Coto, I believe parents and caregivers are the most important people in a child's communication journey.

You do not need to spend hours drilling flashcards or creating elaborate activities because communication grows through your family’s everyday routines and play. It grows during snack time, bath time, story time, walks around the neighborhood, and cuddles on the couch. Small interactions, repeated consistently, can have a powerful impact over time.

My goal is to help you feel confident, informed, and empowered. Through parent-caregiver coaching, education, and practical strategies, I help families learn how to support communication development within the routines they are already living.

This blog will be a place for encouragement, evidence-based information, and simple ideas you can use right away. We'll talk about speech and language development, toddler communication milestones, play, connection, and how to make communication-building feel natural and achievable.

Figuring out next steps can be stressful. You do not have to figure this out alone!

Whether your toddler is saying their first words, combining phrases, or simply finding new ways to connect with the world around them, I am excited to be part of their journey. Here's to raising confident toddlers, one conversation at a time.
